Sokoto PDP Debacle: Candidate Insists Party Primary Conclusive

All may not be heard as, against the unclear result of vice President Sambo’s reconciliation meeting, which held in Sokoto on Sunday, the governorship candidate of the Sokoto state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Amb. Abdallah Wali has insisted that the primary was conclusive and he is the party candidate.
Although the Vice President avoided Journalists’ specific question regarding the division in the party as a result of the party governorship primary, Wali told news men on Monday that Sambo’s visit was based on “No Winner, No Vanquish” status, which only sort to solicit aggrieved aspirants’ cooperation to work together for the success of the party.
“The Vice President came to Sokoto with a mission of “No Winner, No Vanquish. He met with all of us – the aspirants and I. He want us to move as one and everyone should be allowed to participate in the election processes. I agreed that I will do just that,” Wali said.
He explained that they were going to meet in Abuja with the Vice President in order to strategies our election campaign. “The other meeting in Abuja with the Vice President is to strategies on how to conduct our party elections.”
Wali further stressed that the primary election was conclusive because “It cannot be reversed. Candidates cannot be substituted at this time.”
