David Mark: Re-elect Sen. Ahmed Maccido

Senate President, David Mark on Saturday called on the people of Sokoto North Senatorial zone to re-elect Sen. Ahmed Maccido during the 201d election to continue with his representation of them at the Senate.

Represented by made the PDP governorship candidate, Senator Abdallah Wali, Mark made the call during the distribution of empowerment equipment worth N1 billion donated by the Senator to his constituents.

“I commend Senator Ahmed Maccido for the gesture and hereby call on the people of the Zone to re-elect him in order to continue with the good works he is doing at the Senate in line with the manifesto of the PDP,” Mark stated.

Chairman of the occasion, Ekiti state governor Ayo Fayose who was represented by the former Aviation Minister, Mr. Babatunde Omotoba said that the PDP would continue to transform Nigeria.

“The PDP government is committed to the total transformation of Nigeria and further boosting the welfare of Nigerians. We will also continue to work for the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria,” he said.

Maccido who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District comprised of Sokoto North, Sokoto South, Kware, Wamakko, Gudu, Tangaza, Binji and Silame local governments said that the provision of the items were aimed at uplifting the welfare of the people of his constituency.

According to him, “These items were provided in appreciation of the sustained support and cooperation I am receiving from the people of my constituency in the last seven and half years.”

The items donated included 450 motorcycles, 5,000 water pumping, 233 sewing machines and 200 grinding machines.

Others were 150 deep freezers, eight motor vehicles, text books  and 2,000 bags of NPK fertilizers.
