Governor Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto state has described his Rivers State counterpart, Rotimi Amaechi as a person that believes in the unity and progress of Nigeria.
The exchange occurred when Amaechi visited Sokoto state to commission and inspect some projects executed by Sokoto state government.
“He is a respected Nigerian who can go to any length to ensure the unity and security of Nigerians.
“Amaechi is a top fighter who wants victory or nothing and there is no compromise in his dictionary,” Wamakko said.
On his part, Amaechi said that. Wamakko is an honest Nigerian who dislikes corruption and we share a lot in common.
“Wamakko is strategic, quiet and a big brother to me. Wamakko is also punctual,” he added.
Amaechi added that the only solution to Boko Haram, militancy and other problems in Nigeria is to fight poverty.
Amaechi said that the best way out of poverty in Nigeria was to give priority attention to the agricultural sector.
“It is also to ensure that the people get educated and put money into their hands,” he continued.
The governor urged governments to create more opportunities for the people to learn trades, including agricultural skills acquisition.
Amaechi said that the only way forward for Nigeria is to avoid corruption in all its ramifications.
